Unreliable books make every downstream answer harder.
Tax returns, financial statements, cash-flow decisions, financing conversations, and advisory work all depend on complete and consistent records.
We create a practical close process, document open questions, reconcile key accounts, and connect the books to the tax and reporting work that uses them.
How we help
Accounting support matched to the condition of the books.
Recurring service, cleanup work, and reporting are scoped around transaction volume, accounts, systems, complexity, and deadlines.
Monthly bookkeeping
Categorize transactions, maintain supporting detail, and apply consistent accounting treatment.
Account reconciliations
Reconcile bank, credit-card, loan, payment-processor, and other agreed balance-sheet accounts.
Month-end review
Investigate unusual balances, duplicates, uncategorized activity, and changes that require client input.
Cleanup & catch-up
Correct historical records and bring overdue periods to a usable starting point.
Cloud accounting workflow
Support QuickBooks Online setup, connected systems, document flow, and accountant access practices.
Tax-ready coordination
Maintain schedules and records that make planning and return preparation more efficient.
Clear scope
Separate bookkeeping activity from the decisions it supports.
The accounting scope defines the records maintained, close cadence, reports delivered, and responsibilities on both sides.
The recurring process may include
- Transaction categorization and review
- Agreed account reconciliations
- Open-item questions and follow-up
- Month-end adjustments within scope
- Standard financial statement delivery
You receive
- A documented close cadence
- Reconciled agreed accounts
- A clearer list of unresolved items
- Consistent profit-and-loss and balance-sheet information
- Records prepared for tax and advisory use
Important: Bookkeeping does not by itself provide an audit, review, compilation, fraud examination, valuation, or assurance on the financial statements. Any specialized engagement must be separately defined.

Meet the Mehdiani TeamCommon questions
Clear answers before the first conversation.
These questions clarify how recurring accounting work begins and what it does not replace.
Which accounting platform do you support?
QuickBooks Online is commonly used because it supports cloud access and integration workflows. The right setup depends on the business, existing records, connected systems, and reporting needs.
Can you clean up prior months or years?
Yes. We first assess the condition of the records, accounts involved, periods to be corrected, available support, and deadline. Cleanup is priced and scheduled separately from recurring bookkeeping when appropriate.
How often will the books be updated?
The close cadence is defined in the engagement—commonly monthly, but the appropriate schedule depends on activity, reporting needs, and client responsibilities.
Will you pay bills or run payroll?
Not unless a separate agreed service expressly says so. We do not run payroll. We can coordinate records from your third-party payroll provider and advise on provider selection, owner compensation, and payroll frequency.
What do you need from me each month?
Typically, timely access to agreed systems and statements, answers to transaction questions, supporting documents for unusual activity, and notice of material business changes. The exact responsibility list is set during onboarding.
